The Native Plant Center's Garden Conservancy Open Day Tours were held on July 15. Visitors flocked to the Lady Bird Johnson Demonstration Garden, to pay tribute to Lady Bird Johnson and realize her vision of a "more naturally beautiful america."

Dedicated volunteers gave tours through the garden and meadows while answering the age-old question
"Why Natives?'' As the tour came to a close, visitors had a better understanding of why natives are a
good choice.
